The weather conditions and the way of living in Cuba, plus the abundance of fine woods forests of extraordinary quality, created a favorable atmosphere for the proliferation of carpenters specialized in furniture construction from the first moment. These carpenters were able to unify the Spanish influence and the reinterpretation of the European styles with some characteristics of their own, with audacious proportions and a rich ornamentation. This led to an actual Cuban style furniture.
