This article deals with the renovation works carried out in 1541 at a house owned by the local confraternity of the goldsmiths; the house was situated at the so-called “La Laguna de la Pajería” in Seville, Spain. Those works throw important light on building techniques, technical terms current at the time, names of applicants and the common features of local popular architecture.
