This article provides unknown documents about the disappeared hermitage of San Blas in Sanlucar de Barrameda (Cádiz). It also focus on the artistic patronage made by the House of Medina Sidonia and the splendor period during the 17th century, when the hermitage hosted a community of monks of San Diego. It pays attention, as well, to the hermitage decay happened in the 19th century and its subsequent destruction. And finally, it makes a research about its artistic heritage, identifying two sculptures of San Blas.
