THE TERM “HISTORICAL” IN FILM ART: A THEORETICAL APPROACH FROM A COMPARATIVE AND INTERNATIONAL PERSPECTIVE

The present article deals with the concept of history in the relatively young fi lm art and provides a theoretical discussion with an empirical localization. The analysis includes specifi c examples taken from movies fi lmed by Luis García Berlanga (Spain) and Ulrich Seidl (Austria). As a conclusion, a two-axle model of history with qualitative and quantitative characteristics will be outlined.
