In this work we study the work and artistic evolution of Miñarro, an outstanding representative imagery sculptor from the modern Sevillan school. He was formed with the master Francisco Buiza, which workshop was inside the emblematic Artist’s House of Sevilla, focus of art and culture of the city during the end of XIX and the most part of the XX centuries. The work of Miñarro is characterized by an outstanding and detailed anatomic study of the figures and a highly colored polychromy. His wide work is extended through andalusian territory and the subjects considered by the artist are the representative moments of Jesus passion particularly Captives and Crucifieds.
