FROM CÁDIZ TO SALTA. A MARBLE TABLE IN THE SACRISTY OF THE CONVENT OF SAINT FRANCIS

Abstract

In the center of the sacristy of the church of Saint Francis in Salta stand out a table of white marble with the shield of order engraved in the center and an inscription flanking the perimeter of the panel. The interesting data contributed by this appointment permit to document the moving of the work since their execution in Cadiz in 1789 to its final destiny, as well as the role performed by each one of the protagonists that made possible said assignment.
