The aim of this paper is to present a little-known facet of the work of the sculptress Luisa Roldán (1654-1706) during the time spent in Seville (1671-1687): his sculptures made to be part of altarpieces. The limited documentary information on this activity force to adopt the comparative method as the only procedure for attribution based, obviously on a previous extensive knowledge of the work of this artist. A total of ten new sculptures of different levels of quality are offered in this article and, with them, a new line of research is propose for the future hoping that it will provide more information in this field.
