Abstract

Description and analysis of the murals of the Monastery of San Isidoro del Campo made during the fifteen century, noble examples of the moment of the formation of the Sevillian school of painting and the artistic evolution which take place in the same throughout that century, beginning with a clear link to the intemational style of ltalian origin and opening up later to northern influences. A process similar to that observed in easel painting and in the miniatures with which it shares general aspects of style and concrete formal elements. The Mudejar character is observed not only in the appearance of determined motifs of Moslem tradition, but also in the system of carrying out the performance of the technique.
