Abstract

The metallurgic technologies in the Pre-Hispanic America were not used in order to benefit from the improvement of tools but in favour of the Sumptuary Arts, without being an exception the craftmanship in platinum. After having gone through its technical process, we analyze the most outstanding characteristics of La Tolita-Tumaco culture's craftmanship in precious metals through three significant pieces.
