Abstract

Thanks to the national press it has been possible to recover an image from the missing altarpiece of the Virgin for Helpless chapel in the saint Sebastian parish in Marchena. This image allows to appreciate a work shaped by the Sevillian wood carver Dionisio José Gutiérrez and will be used to document other works with similar characteristics from such a wood carver.
