Abstract

As an advance notice of a far - reaching piece of Work, it is offered here a synthesis of what has been the development of the artistic andalusian historiography, considering as such, the one published during the 17th and 18th centuries. This one covers, from an aesthetic and ideological point of View, and evolutionary period which goes from the late baroque style of the 18th century to the positivism and eclecticism characteristic in the second half of the 19th century.
