ORDENANZAS DE LA PLATERÍA LIMEÑA DEL AÑO 1778

This article studies the ordinances drawn up by the viceroy Don Manuel de Guirior in 1778 for the regulation of the silversmiths of Lima and the whole ambit of the viceroyalty of Peru. Through an analysis of the thirty-one sections, changes with reference to the 1633 Lima silverworking norms are studied, as well as the connections with the 1776 Guatemala ordinances and those of Charles III in 1771, the relevant conclusions being drawn in each case.
