Abstract

We here present a study of the 19th century Sevillian engraver José María Martín, who speciali­zed in engraved reproductions of the images honoured by the various Andalusian brotherhoods. This article, based on the discovery of a series of copper plates engraved by the artist, concludes with a catalogue of the plates and comparison with other works by him.
