The temporary architectural structures occasioned by the principaql royal festivities in Seville in the 18th century are dealt with in this study, focusing on the role played by the guild of silversmiths. The events concemed are the regal entries into the city of Felipe V and bis future heirs Femando VI and Carlos III, in the first third of the century. Between these two dates an account is given of the buildings and celebrations which marked the coronation of Femando VI, Carlos III and Carlos IV, as well as the birth of the princes Carlos and Felipe -sons of Carlos IV-coinciding with the peace-treaty with England.
