Abstract

The church of Santa Barbara in Ecija is one of the town's most important historie buildings, and at the same time one of the few examples of neo-classical style in Andalusian religious architecture. The contribution of an architect from the Academy of San Fernando, with the full weight of Neoclassicism which characterized this institution, accounts for the plans drawn up for the church of Santa Barbara and their subseguent execution. The publication of these plans and an account of the author constitute the content of the study.
