CYNICAL THEATRICALITIES, STAGING AND PHILOSOPHICAL LIFE

Authors

Abstract

The anecdote and the gesture, together with its antidogmatism and rejection of scholarship, at times closer to philosophical cynicism, more to art than to systematic philosophy. For this reason, the cynical staging of another way of living forces us to rethink the ways in which we understand the expression of philosophy. Thus, this work will investigate this area of convergence between theatricality and philosophy, where said investigation will articulate a dialogue with some elements of the artistic avant-garde of the 20th century around theatricality, as a critique of the forms of representation of bodies in relation to themselves and others. Finally, the case of the Colombian artist Augusto Diez and his position towards art will be shown, as a way of unraveling a possibility of living philosophically and artistically in another way.
