Introduction to the monographic issue: popular music and literary education (XX-XXI ce.). Didactic proposals for Spanish E.S.O. and Bachillerato
Abstract
The monographic issue we present here aims to explore the possibilities and challenges involved in the pedagogical use of popular music in ESO and Bachillerato, using some of its most important generic manifestations at present. Relying on the curricular openness of the latest educational legislation, various ways of using popular music for teaching purposes are proposed. They take into account not only musicalisations of poems but also traditional songs and contemporary productions of genres such as rap.
