«La llorona»: song, legend and poetry. A didactic model to work lyrical discourse in secondary education

Abstract

This paper proposes a didactic model to improve the understanding of poetry in Secondary Education through the analysis of song lyrics as lyrical texts. For this objective, the song of «La Llorona» has been chosen in various versions performed by artists of the adolescent public's taste, and its analysis is developed through activities around four dimensions of the poetic text: its transmission, its symbolism, its form and its ideological implications.
