This reflection addresses the current museum experience, highlighting the gap between traditional museum structures and contemporary ideology. In the realm of contemporary art, it explores how the artwork becomes a collective experience, influenced by media phenomena such as cameras and smartphones. These new mediums offer opportunities for openness and foster a more participatory interaction from the public, challenging pre-established interpretations and expanding the possibilities of multiple interpretations through captured images. However, some museums resist decentralizing the meaning of the artworks, fearing to relinquish symbolic power to the public. It questions how contemporary museums relate to these new ways of experiencing the contemporary, emphasizing the importance of media devices for the reinterpretation of artworks and the plurality of connections between the public and artistic creations.
