El objetivo de este texto es mostrar que en la concepción leibniziana de la vida ocupa un lugar importante no sólo la finalidad externa vinculada al Dios trascendente de la Teodicea, sino también una finalidad estrictamente inmanente. Partiendo del protagonismo que concede Leibniz a las categorías de fuerza y tendencia, se pone de manifiesto la confluencia de principio interno de actividad y de finalidad interna en el ser vivo y se llama la atención sobre las perspectivas éticas que, en este contexto de ideas, abre el concepto de tendencia a la perfección.
The aim of this paper is to show that, in the leibnizian view of life, it has a fundamental role not only the external finality linked to the transcendent God, but also a finality strictly immanent. From the relevant place that Leibniz conceded to the categories of strength and tendency, it is clear the confluence of the internal principle of activity and of the internal finality in the lived being. Finally, I pay attention to the ethical perspectives that, in this context of ideas, open the concept of tendency to the perfection.
