NOTES ABOUT THE ONTO-EPISTEMOLOGICAL REQUISITES OF ERNESTO LACLAU’S PHILOSOPHICAL THEORY.

Abstract

The philosophical political theory of Ernesto Laclau is currently one of the most important perspectives from socio-political analysis. This paper examines their main onto-epistemological approaches. In this framework, discusses about a number of axes, related to rejection of all forms of essentialism, substancialism or determinism; the emphasis on contingency and arbitrariness of the social reality; the impossibility to eliminate antagonisms and power relations; the social constructivist perspective and the discursive disputes by imposing certain legitimate representation of community order.
