Abstract
This article concerns the cultural practice of consuming entheogen substances in religious and magical ceremonies, as a part of a process in which bloodletting takes place. These two activities are depicted associated with dismemberment and self-decapitating, which results impossible to do in the physical world, but attainable in the ethereal world. Where only nahuales can get in and leave without dying, and there they can carry out such activities in order to achieve a corporeal transformation.
