Abstract

Orson Welles, since he was a child, admired Shakespeare´s work. This admiration and some financial problems lead him to shoot Macbeth. He had a limited budget and only a few days. Therefore the film wasn´t very good. It was object of a lot of criticism. However this is the most faithful copy to the original. It respect the structure and the dialogue of Shakespeare´s work. It´s a merit that we should admit to this american director.
