Currently, the state of the contemporary world is characterized by a profound sense of despair that permeates all aspects of life. This article analyzes the historical nature of the critical theory that Theodor W. Adorno, a member of the “Frankfurt School”, presents in his treatise Minima Moralia, not only to understand the despair rooted in our social structures but also to address the dysfunctions of human life in times of crisis.
