Practice, Labor, Society: from Hegel to Gramsci. Notes on the Philosophy of Praxis
Keywords:
praxis, labor, subjectivity, historical processes, hegemonyAbstract
The article proposes a philosophical consideration of the idea of praxis linked to the comprehension of its role in the formation of subjectivity and political activity. The analysis is based on a study of the status of human practical activity in the transition from German idealism to historical materialism, taking as a central axis the philosophy of Antonio Gramsci. It is argued that the philosophy of praxis is inscribed in the framework of a social ontology that is concerned both with the genesis and function of the collective subject and with the regularities that enable political action in historical processes.
