ARENDT AND THE REPUBLICANS READINGS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION

Abstract

The following work tries to reconstruct the most significant elements of the republicanism of the American Revolution according to Hanna Arendt’s vision, putting in dialog with the interpretations of these events, which in the decade of 70 have realized thinkers from the History of the ideas, and with the liberal interpretation. As a result of this dialog we will be able to do an interpretive reading of the central categories of the republican tradition.
