EASTERN NATURALISM AND MYSTICISM: A SUBTERRANEAN AND SUBVERSIVE PRESENCE IN THE WEST

Abstract

The paper proposes an open vision of the cultural relations between East and West, both in historical and systematic terms. Topics of study are naturalism  (ShivaDionysos) and mysticism (the spiritual hero archetype), which travelled from the East to the Mediterranean Sea and which left a direct or indirect footprint in overcoming all kind of dualisms.
