CONFLICT, VIRTUE AND EDUCATION. CIVIC VIRTUES IN RESPONSE TO CONFLICT

Abstract

The paper distinguishes two types of conflict in terms of the attitude of the antagonists: those in which the parties wish to reach an agreement and those where at least one of them does not want to find a balance. The analysis highlights both the importance of political virtue and the privileged role that public education plays to promote it.
