Abstract

The article deals with the first book of Pierre Gassendi´s Exercitationes paradoxicae adversus aristoteleos and it focuses on three questions: the origin of Gassendi´s antiaristotelism, Gassendi´s skepticism and his critic on the Aristotelian postulates.
