Abstract

Après vous, Madame is a performance by the Sevillian flamenco dancer and choreographer Paula Comitre (1994), born from a deep desire to revisit the figure of Antonia Mercé, “La Argentina”, from a contemporary perspective. The aim of this creation is to explore her legacy through the present body, giving rise to a stage piece where Spanish Dance, Flamenco, music, visual arts, and stage design converge. This article outlines the research and creative process behind the piece, sharing the artistic decisions, references, and collaborations that made it possible.
