Abstract

The news that circulated in China about the War of the Pacific are studied. The structure, content and discourse analyzes on the texts allow us to conclude that the newspapers instituted different national imaginaries towards Chile, Peru and Bolivia, highlighting the political organization and military power of the first country to the detriment of the second and third.
