Abstract
The present work constitutes a review of the book by Ricardo D. Salvatore entitled "The Argentine Confederation and its subalterns". Said work analyzes the period 1820-1860 in the province of Buenos Aires and describes in detail the system of subalternities during Rosismo taking different social groups: soldiers, blacks, indians, women, unitarians and the rebels of Hilario Lagos.
