Abstract
The Real Ordenanza de Intendentes of 1786 prohibited the distribution of goods (Repartimiento) to the Indians, as advance payment in exchange for their labor, however the authorities of the subdelegation of Fresnillo in the Intendancy of Zacatecas (Mexico) did not respect this custom.
