Abstract

In the evolution of human societies there are events that escape their control, namely, the climatic and telluric phenomena that affect human beings and become real catastrophes. The present article stresses the fact that in Chile earthquakes are so frequent a phenomenon that the santiaguinos have succumbed to their domain, subdued by their absolute influence in the architectural forms and their way of life.
