The archives of the notaries in Leon and Guanajuato, S. XVIII

Abstract

The information contained in the archives of the notaries at León and Guanajuato have allowed the historians to write the social history of these Mexican region, establish the economic and social nets, and study different social groups (elite, workers, emerging social groups, and families). This region was developed since 1540 around the cattle raising, the mining industry and the agriculture.
