HASTE MADE WASTE IN THE ORIGIN OF THE “PRESIDIO” OF MONTEVIDEO THE WEAK KEY TO THE SOUTH ATLANTIC REGION

Abstract

The main goal of this article is to explain the founding of the Spanish port-city of Montevideo at the riverbank of the Río de la Plata. Due to its strategic situation, the enclave would transform itself into the principal fortress and would be the key to the southern defense force.
