The space in colonial Buenos Aires: a glance to the process of occupation of the common land (1722-1735)

Abstract

We will approach the gradual occupation and incorporation of the common land to the city, between 1722 and 1735, to observe how interacted the political and economic maneuvers of certain sectors of the elite, the demographic pressures and the uses and the representations of the different social actors of the space in the city. In the case of ejido can glimpse various representations and practices concerning the city.
