Abstract
The focal point of this article compares the city of Querétaro, Mexico City, and the island of Cuba from the view point of the royal decree concerning the Consolidación de Vales Reales, which applied between the years 1804 to 1809. Comparison allows the recognition of differences in the administrative and revenue measures in the American territories.
