Political language and social differences. The readings of the society by the subaltern sectors of Cartagena (Colombia) during the 19th century

Abstract

In this article we analyze as struggles between political factions forced to attend a few languages that made references to social differences, which had significant importance so that the subaltern sectors to organize their experiences of living in a society divided by racial, economic, factors of social poise and political power. We pay attention to movements who suffered that language of a racial emphasis during the first half of the 19th century, to an emphasis on the economic and social during the second half of that century.
