Abstract
The transition from the late colonial period the process of revolution and independence in the Río de la Plata has generated various processes in the interior of the former Viceroyalty. For this reason, the purpose of this work is to investigate the peculiarities of this process in the light of a family of Tucumán elite and the economic, political and social reproduction strategies used to traverse the study period. From this journey, we will analyze the social inclusion of a peninsular merchant in late 18th century - Manuel Posse-, commercial ties and kinship strategies used to support his family in the bosom of the Tucumán elite.
