Abstract
RESUMEN: La Biblioteca colombina guarda, de una parte, varias recetas sobre el cuidado y teñido del cabello y, de otra, una relativa al cuidado y hermoseo de los ojos. A lo largo del presente trabajo se han analizado las mismas, haciendo hincapié en las materias y procesos que incluyen así como también se han cotejado con varias recetas recogidas en diversos manuscritos y obras impresas depositadas en diversos fondos emplazados dentro y fuera de la corona castellana. Destaca la receta del cuidado del cabello blanco, temática, esta, poco habitual. Por último, hemos destacado la relación existente entre las recetas, cosmética y la ciencia de galeno.
ABSTRACT: The “Colombina library” keeps several recipes on care and dyeing hair and other one relating to the care and beautify of the eyes. Throughout this research paper we have analysed them, by emphasis on materials and procedures. As well, we set up a balance among these medieval cosmetic recipes and a wide range of manuscripts and other primary resources from in and outside of the Crown of Castile. One of the most distinctive recipe treated about the concern of white hair caring. Finally, we have highlighted the bound between the Pharmacopoeia, the cosmetic discipline, and the Galenic Medicine to understanding the medieval charm rituals.
