In 1753 the Brotherhood of Coopers of Seville, located since 1592 in the College of St. Francisco de Paula, decided to return to Arenal neighborhood where it had been founded on 17 March 1517 in the Hospital of St. Antón and St. Andrés. The new chapel was consecrated on 14 August 1761 and the following day a solemn procession was held from the Friar’s Order of minimins College to the Arenal. These solemn festivities coincided with those celebrated in the city in honor of the Immaculate Conception, which are described with details in a printed document.
