Abstract

Ferlosio explains that rites protect limits and that defend us from the unknown. What would be nowadays the limit protected by the mandarins of the academia by hiding what is beyond and that humanistic knowledge reveals? The limit of utility and interest. From the Aristotelian critique of the interest, we will peep beyond the limits of identity, homeland and argument, by the hand of an ascetic lay who stirred up the darkness before using it: Rafael Sánchez Ferlosio.
