Abstract

The religious image was one of the best ways that the Roman Church had to convey their messages. In this sense, the facades of the churches are also a reflection of the different historical contexts in which they were made. This paper will make an analysis of the facade of the Cathedral of Campeche considering possible material and spiritual motivations of the builders.
