The Personal Archive of Juan Ramón Osés. Sources to know the judicial labor during Mexico’s Independence Era

Abstract

In this paper we will work an aproximation to the judicial documents of the fiscal and alcalde del crimen of the Real Audiencia of Mexico Juan Ramón Osés’s personal archive during the Independence Era. Today, this document collection are guarded in “Colección documental sobre la Independencia Mexicana” (CIND) of Mexico’s Universidad Iberoamericana. We will value its condition as judicial archive and the research possibilities which could offer to us.
