Abstract
The purpose of this article is to add some details not previously considered to the historical analysis of the well known battle of Puente de Calderón at the dawn of the independence of the Mexican nation. It has been done under the perspective of a professional army man, considering the factors either distant or close that concurred, as well as the development in successive phases of the battle. It is given a neutral vision, far away from any ideological or political assessement.
