Business and justice: Francisco Palomino, defender of the Yucutan indians, 1569-1586

Abstract

This study expounds the business of Francisco Palomino, defender of Yucatan natives since 1569 to 1586, and relations between different sides of colonial society: natives, merchants, religions and civil servants. The objective is analyse how was prevent the defence of Yucatecos Mayans natives in reason of the economic issue.
