Abstract

This paper studies the publishing projects into the Instituto de Arte Americano created by Mario Buschiazzo in 1946. It is recovered a first stage of the institution (1946-1970) to consider the period 1947 -1962 about a group of books and how these expressed the institutional goal of develop studies on South American colonial art.
