RESUMEN: La política seguida con las comunidades judías de Málaga y su territorio varió según las circunstancias de la conquista. Hubo judíos en las ciudades de Málaga y Vélez Málaga, y en algunas aldeas dispersas por los montes. Un judío castellano, el intérprete Israel, recaudó los impuestos que debían pagar los campesinos musulmanes y los repobladores cristianos. La expulsión de los judíos en 1492. Algunos volvieron más tarde y se bautizaron; entre ellos, el intérprete Israel, que pasaría a llamarse Fernando de Sosa.

ABSTRACT: The policy concerning the Jewries of Málaga and its territory changed according to the circumstances of the conquest.
