Abstract
RESUMEN: Este artículo recoge el estudio epigráfico de la inscripción que acompaña al escudo heráldico de Chacón, emplazado en el exterior de la capilla de los vélez (Catedral de murcia). abordamos el estudio del texto a partir del análisis en profundidad del soporte epigráfico, el estudio paleográfico de su peculiar escritura, los caracteres internos del texto y su propia funcionalidad. para finalizar ofrecemos una novedosa reconstrucción del texto, a partir de la lectura epigráfica y paleográfica de este singular letrero emplazado en el templo murciano.
ABSTRACT: this paper presents the epigraphic study of the inscription in the Chacon’s coat of arms, located in the outside of the chapel of velez (murcia’s Cathedral). this study is based on the exhaustive analysis of its epigraphic format, the paleographic study of its singular writing, the meaning and its own functionality. at the end, we offer a new lecture of this particular inscription, based on the epigraphic and paleographic research.
